Bondi wins XTC Sydney

Hosted by ACTAI in partnership with Ignite Alliance, WAVIA and SingularityU Australia, XTC Sydney is the regional final for the 2021 Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), the largest global competition for entrepreneurs addressing the UN sustainable development goals through purposeful technology.

The finalists included startups from Australia and New Zealand with innovations in categories ranging from Agtech & Food, Cleantech, Energy & Environment, Digital Health, Edtech, Enabling Tech and Fintech and faced questions from an impressive panel of judges including Christina Gerakiteys (Co-CEO of SingularityU Australia), Amanda Terry (Co-Founder & Managing Partner of ACTAI Ventures), Tom Humphrey (Principal at Blackbird), Barry Palte (Chairman of EQ Capital and Emeritus Chairman International Association of Investment Bankers) and Bill Tai - a very successful angel investor (Partner Emeritus at CRV and Co-Founder of XTC).

In accepting the Award on Bondi’s behalf, Dr James Brown said: “We are excited to be part of this cohort of new and innovative companies providing solutions to critical global challenges. We thank the XTC Judges for their recognition of our technology and look forward to participating in the bootcamp stage and contributing to this powerful global platform.”

Bondi now looks forward to the Bootcamp and Global Finals.
